Production of 30D has ceased
I was told by Orient Photo on Friday 3 August that production of 30Ds have ceased. I have no other details. It is supposedly to be replaced by a new model - 40D. FWIW to anyone who's interested in this news.

The production has ceased? really? sounds promising for a replacement. Hopefully the news will be released soon.

True. I hope to see more than marginal improvement. Lens calibration is something that I hope to get. And an improved noise reduction to get a clean image at ISO 3200.

For those who's been chasing the latest and greatest, of course the improvement is marginal. If you've been using a 10D all along, then you'll probably appreciate the improvement of the 40D better. Anyhow, its not going to save someone who can't take photos to begin with.
