Default Which range do you shoot more?

Was just wondering what rage do you guys tend to shoot more in general?

28-70 or 70-200?

currently i've lens that covers from 12-55mm. So thinking between these two.
Cos i worked it out and from 50-70mm its just almost one normal walking step difference.

It really depends on what type of photography you are into and your shooting habits.

I shoot portraits and I usualy use mid tele range: 50-105mm (DX format)

Not ideal for the application mentioned. 70-200 may be good for portraits but is limited for journalistic.

28-70 may be good for journalistic (albiet I think it is not wide enough), but not ideal for portraits.

Personally, for DX sensor, I am thinking of 17-55mm f/2.8 and the Tokina 50-135 f/2.8 for the application you mention.

yeah. At the same time. its the cropped sensor. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

But i think... if i want something thats useable on both film and digital. think maybe i'll
stick with the 70-200 for now. And tahan with my sigma 28-70 temporarily. Focus may be abit slow. but i guess if im more prepared... nth couldn't salvage it?

i do travel photography. when i travel, i find that i have the 17-35 on my camera 80% of the time. the other times i have my 70-200 on it. for me, the wide angle, speed and brightness of the 17-35 gives me a lot of flexibility to grab the shots i need.

i do have the 28-70 as well. i thought i'd use it more when i do events. but in reality, i never really use that lens much at all.

i also have the 12-24...this one is special though i use it very little. but the results are always special!

i would actually go for a 17-55mm nikon or 17-50mm tamron as it is much cheaper and still rather sharp because i do more of candid

i shoot on DSLR these days. i find that 17-35mm range is the best.

17mm on DSLR = 24mm on film ... so that's wide enough for me.

35mm on DSLR = 50mm on film ... it's merely normal. not telephoto at all. but the magic of digital camera is that i will always shoot on the highest resolution, and do the cropping as a post-pro.

LOL...not really lar.. Once addicted to the quality of the shots from these lenses...there's no turning back. Just can't replace the 17-55 and 70-200 wif a 18-200.
