Default Is it me or my distorted perception about F2.8 Glasses?

having used a couple of f2.8 zooms by nikon, it seems that these lenses have much better contrast than other zooms/cheaper glasses i had used.

does anyone have the same experience as well? or am i just.. seeing things..

bigger front element helps to catch more light? hahaha

yeah i felt the metering to be very accurate.. was attempting a yin-yang shot of shadows and highlights contrasting, was worried that the dark region would be under-exposed but my first shot was spot on, well balanced

You always can go faster by using 50mm f/1.8. It will not burn your pocket too... .

U r darn right! the difference in *everything* is obvious...
The difference is almost unreal sometimes.

I feel the f2.8 zooms and the primes perform very well...

Kit lenses such as the 18-70 dun behave as well...haha! (not to say it's not usable!)

better contrast pics right out of the cam helps u to save time editing pictures.
so in a way, its either u spend money or time. which is more important?
