    Default Sunning a baby

I remembered sometime back (not a few months) that a parent was sunning his(her) newly borned baby on a wooden plank on the bamboo holders high up in the HDB flat when it splattered onto the ground. This incident was reported in the Straits Times Newspaper.

Why was he(she) sunning the baby in the first place ?

The baby has Jaundice (Huang Dan Bing) quite impossible to be Yellow fever lah.

The sun will help to reduce the baby's Jaundice that's why they sun babies. But that was a dangerous way to do it. I had neonatal Jaundice when I was born too and my mum had to sun me herself. Not good for women in confinement to be exposed to the elements so next time you guys please take care of your wives in confinement!

new born babies in the 1st 2 weeks normally are a bit yellowish.
need some sunlight energy to get rid.......just carrys the baby near the sunlight area where it shines into your room thru the windows....not directly under the sun. for just 5mins to 10min
everyday....perfer morning sun. not like drying clothes handing outside.
