Default Sydney + Melbourne (July07)

Some pics i took during a recent trip to Sydney for Hillsong Conference and to Melbourne and Great Ocean Road for a short holiday. Comments are welcome. =)

For equipment buffs, a Canon 350D with a Hoya CP, and a 10-22 was used for all pics.

Here goes.

jiven,

Koala was taken along the way to Great Ocean Road. I think it was awakened by the fill-flashes from the camera. This was taken with a cheap Powershot A530. My lens was too wide to be able to zoom in that far to take this picture. The koala was quite high up in the trees.

Settings for Jump!
ISO 100
Hoya CP
Av Mode
Center weighted metering
Taken from the ground up. Low angled shot.

Beautifully taken shots! Was the polariser used for most of the shots?

I mount the polariser right in front of the lens without the uv filter. i get quite bad vignetting when mounted with the uv filter.

87 Smith St (cnr Gertrude St) Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Quite a small shop, can be missed easily if you don't look out for it. But it's the corner shop right at the junction so that helps in identifying it.

hi

thanks for the advice.

But just wanna check with you... arent you worried that when you unscrew ur uv filter and put on the polariser, arent u worried that u might accidentally dirty ur primitive lens or dust might get on the lens itself?

the uv to me is like a 24hours protective layer..

what's 'ur primitive lens'?

well, i kept the polariser on the entire trip in australia. the skies were too nice to take it off. anyway, when i change filters, i normally do it in a windless, seemingly 'clean' (at least to the naked eye) place. places not to change filters at are eg. busstops (or anywhere near roads where dust flies all over the place), the beach, on a sandy field, when its raining etc.
