Haven't seen the actual printout of either i850 and i950 but design wise, quite modern with silver trims and compact. S820 has 6 ink technology and seen actual printout during PC show against 520 with 4 ink cartridge. S820 is a class above. It produced more details and accurate colours. Only drawback is the slow text prints. Was told it share same technology with S900 except can't print A3 size. BTW, is the i850 (4 ink cartridge) an upgrade over S820?

unless you look at your print out with a magnifying glass all the time.. there no difference between the i850 and i950 prints under the naked eye.

Print speed wise.. the i950 is very fast!!

Except for one big headache i discover (after i set my heart to buying a i950).. i850 use Black Pigment Based Ink which seems to print better B&Ws..

So now i also lost, dunno which one to get

Just got my S820 for S$278 wif GST from SimLim 2 days ago. Tried printing A4 on the original Canon PhotoPaper Pro(S$18 for 20) and the cheap Sepom High Glossy Photo Paper (S$7 for 20). Great diff!!!

So question is, are there 3rd party paper that's as good or comparable to the original Canon Photopaper Pro at less price??

Thanks!!!

Congrats! Wow ... that's cheaper than the going price, i.e. $340-$349 which I know! Any idea how much are they selling their i950s?

Hehe.. printed onli abit.. only one thing to say.. Its worth every $329 i put in.. hehe I'm a very happy new Canon Printer Owner

Too new to notice any problems at this stage.. print text extremely fast.. would be a excellent office printer, not as fast as the i950 when printing photo, but i got no complains as i really cannot distinguish the difference between them at the canon showroom in funan They have sample prints of the Same Pictures for customers to view.. very friendly staff there.

Hope this helps..

interesting that people are choosing a $329 4-colour i850 over the $299 6-colour predecessor s820 wonder if anyone has compared the 2 directly?
