Default new lens

The new Minolta AF 28 - 100mm f/3.5 – 5.6 (D)

Langenhagen, April 2003
Minolta is pleased to announce the latest addition to its D series lenses: the AF 28 - 100mm f/3.5 – 5.6 (D). This 3.5X zoom lens has the perfect range of focal length for landscapes and portraits. Only 66 mm (2.6”) in diameter, 78 mm (3.1”) long, and 240 g (8.5 oz), this lens is great for family and travel photography. The Minolta AF 28 - 100mm f/3.5 – 5.6 (D) is an affordable addition to your camera bag.

The new AF 28 - 100mm f/3.5 – 5.6 (D) is a versatile tool for close-up photography. With a minimum focus distance of 48 cm (18.9 in) at all focal lengths, it allows a maximum magnification of 1/4.

With ten elements in eight groups, the AF 28 - 100mm (D) employs one aspheric lens to combat distortion and aberrations and create beautiful images. The lens uses a circular aperture to give a natural appearance to specular highlights in an out of focus background.

The AF 28 – 100mm is the latest addition to Minoltas D series lenses. The lens’ built-in distance encoder allows the use of the highly accurate ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering with the Dynax 7, 5, 4, 3, and 3L SLR cameras and the Minolta Program Flash 3600HS (D) and 5600HS (D) flash units.

The Minolta AF 28 - 100mm f/3.5 – 5.6 (D) is an affordable addition to any Minolta camera bag. This 3.5X zoom lens is a perfect complement for any photographer.
