Just got this lens from ebay. Test shots on bokeh. Comments and criticise welcome.

imho the bokeh is pretty bad. the double images are too clear and is distracting.

The images look soft. The double halos seems as if there is camera shake. Quite a bit of colour fringing evident. Contrast is low, though this can be post processed. How much did you pay for it?

Crerampuff,

Got this lens for singapore 165 dollars after conversion all in. Thanks for the comments.
More to learn from the experience one here.

Southernoise, thanks for your comments. I am not sure if I have over-processed with picassa and hence too bright on the frame. The double frame is actually double bars meant for bicycle, on the first shot. Point of focus was on the right lower end of the picture.

The last shot was a little dark and was brighten using piccassa.

Thanks once again.

Shots look under-exposed but focusing is dead on; can see the fine abrasion marks at the elbow of the railing in pic 2. Decent performance at f2 for a 85mm...did you have a split image focusing screen to aid MF?
