Default Fisheye - Nikon 10.5 vs Tokina 10-17

Which lens can you recommended for my newly modified D70s.
Currently I'm using Tokina 12-24 WA lens but always get 'hot spots' in most of my shots.
Although I still get some 'good results', but I'm tired of fixing everything in CS2.
Thanks in advance...

An FE lens does not give the same results as a Ultra-WA lens.

That being said, both the Tokina and Nikon FEs give good results. You'll have to decide on three things, firstly whether you're going to shoot with one focal length or you'd prefer a range. Secondly how deeply you'd wish to dig into your pockets and thirdly, how long you'd be willing to wait for a good thing.

Don't ask about the quality of the lenses or their resale value as you'd only get the standard answers and besides, when shooting in IR, sharpness isn't always the deciding factor.

deadpixel,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I would love to add an FE lens to my arsenal. I'm more interested with Nikon 10.5 (not after the add'l zoom that Tokina 10-17 can offer) just want to ensure it's a good lens for IR. Can someone show me some shots from Nikon 10.5mm fisheye?

OT...would love to share a sample shot from my Tokina 12-24mm...
