I bought a new Canon EF 100MM F2.8 USM and went to SBG as i can't wait to see insects. Here are the results. All handheld as its very difficult to setup tripod. Planning to buy Novoflex chestpod.

nice shots. Handheld is best for macros. Tripods, monopode or chestpods are too troublesome to use. BTW, from yr shots, yr handhelding technic is good.

Thanks a lot for the comments. I'm just a newbie on this area.
EF 100mm USM, F11 aperture, Uniplus 25mm extension, internal flas -2fec (don't have external flash yet. we'll buy soon ) |

For first attempt, these are very very good.
Focus is good, and on the eyes, where it matters most for macros. DOF is also very good, with DF head to tail in focus. Flash is harsh for #1 and #4, and even using on-board flash, can use some white translucent plastic sheet to diffuse it. Keep shooting!
