Shots taken during Chinatown trip

below are some of my "better" shots i took during the outing to chinatown organised by larry. i know they are full of flaws and i hope you guys can critique it, point out to me what's wrong and if possible give me some pointers on improving on it next time.

i'm a novice and is struggling even with choosing aperture.

You might want to play around with the DOF.
Maybe a shallow DOF might work in this pic - shallow DOF might protrayed say Uncertainty of the future?
What do you think?
