Default One accidental wedding shot

Shot when I was heading towards the mrt to go home. Was at least a clear 70m-80m away and snapped this shot for fun. Well, the back facing me wasn't the least helpful but then i'm just a passer-by

Wedding Portfolios - Showcase of memorable and beautiful weddings photos.
To me,it's not beautiful because the couple was not facing you.
if it was me,i would not even bother to post it.

Not all wedding photos need to have the couple looking into the camera.
To me, a good wedding photo is one that evokes in you strong emotions, be they love, romance, beauty, glamour, peaceful elegance or even humour.

I have seen thousands of mediocre "look in camera" (can see face) kind of wedding photos that make me cringe, and one that is elegant in its simplicity, just as this one I am looking at.

i like the shot....strong contrast of the vertical lines opposed to the couple on the right bottom..the space suggest to me 'vastness' - eternity like that symbolised their love vows...

well perhaps i can post in the street/candid.

Since i thought this was quite an interesting one comparing them in size with the pillar. Of course no eye contact but from another point of view, it tells a story that they are having their bride n groom shot being taken isn't it? *photog missing*

i like it!...

it shows them in a slight embrace, and the groom supporting the bride leaning into him.

willdon: yup its a different viewpoint, different perspective mah

hmm eikin point noted, was trying to achieve the blur effect which I notice many people use but I never shoot such shots before hence my rare opportunity to try out. I thought the effect while masking the couple, kept the couple in focus and leads the eye to them.

Thanks for the pointers all!~

hope to have more accidental wedding shots when I do my street shoot haha

good shot...

There is no 100 % rules that your subject must face the cam. In fact nowadys most couple would prefer not to be looking or facing at cam all the time.

Maybe the couple would like your shot more than the shot that taken by the actual photographer.

arghz, quick reply doesn't work... (enough complaining)

i actually liked this photo quite a lot, the comparison of the couple with the pillars makes it quite pleasant to look at. like a moment of rest when the wife is just relaxing on the husband.

hahaha you could try the caption: "between a rock and a hard place..."

Sorry to those who don't like marriage jokes...

*oh and ya... then that can be posted in streets... cause this really is not a wedding portfolio

GOOD!

like the textural and scale contrast.

the couple not looking at you, but buried in each other is very good too, as if indulging in their most intimate secrets.

great eye - as usual!!!

the blur is overly done, is like you cut and paste the couple into this picture, otherwise it is a interesting shots, couple would like to buy it.

I fully agree...good photos are not just about having the subject looking directly at the camera....

In the first place, its already mentioned that it was an accidental shot, so taken into account is not wether the couples are facing you or not but in other aspects such as the composition, color etc...

Nice. I like this pic a lot. Composition right for me and the "moment" is there even though no eye contact, which I don't find necessary. The couple is sharing a moment and that's good enough. I do agree that the blurring is excessive though. Good shot!
