I'm not in this field, but they'll definitely be asking you for a portfolio. If you're applying for a specific position, like say modeller, then show them some high res polygons using your weapon of choice, zbrush, maya, etc, or showcase some composites. It always pays to have a good portfolio that is geared towards what they need.

Don't be blinded by Govt propaganda and news of all these big names coming here plus all those collaborative projects that is meant to boost the industry. Many have come and gone quietly.

Of course the choice is personal but do go in with eyes big big.
The thread below is a honest feedback.

IMHO, the people in the digital design industry is always underpaid in Singapore. Cause we're the ones pushing the industry in Singapore right now, which means that we have to work harder with less pay..

BTW,I'm not the guy posting in that thread, but ex-industry.
I guess its not abt pay being good or bad,..the standard tagline is 'You must have passion'.
But in this industry, the gap between pay & hours spent in office is often too wide;ESP when u have a family. However, If you're just a fresh young chap with nothing to lose, then HEY! GO FOR IT!! if its your dream!!

The 'amazing' payscale u see there is realistic, and seeing that you're not even trained, pls do come back here to post what they offered you after your interview..
