Super small INBOX

Dear sirs,

Will the administrators of this forum consider increasing the personal mailbox capacity of this forum?

I am not asking for huge disk space, but 10 mails are insufficient as some of us can't access the inbox till we are home at night.

I reckon 30 mails would be a good size.

u get bigger inbox when ur status change from new member to member..clock 100 posts and above to gain that..but not for posts in kopitiam..

Nope. The fact that postings in kopi-tiam doesn't contribute towards your post counts is a obvious indication that it isn't the case.

The low initial cap of max pms were introduced as a measure to reduce abuse.

Members who have a minimum of 50 posts AND have been registered for at least 30 days will have their pm cap automatically increased to 100 along with the ability to participate in polls.

I don't quite understand.

If I post in kopitiam (which I have yet to do so), the posting is regarded as banter. Okay, that's fine since people do chit chat in kopitiams.
But does this preclude that we can't hold intellectual conversations in the kopitiam forum?

When I post elsewhere in this forum, regardless of the content. It can be gibberish, poppycock, etc. As long as I hit 100 posts, it means I have "contributed" to this forum, as such my status is upgraded along with my inbox capacity.

And this still isn't an example of form over substance.
I am stumped. I really am.

I presume that all internet forums have one common objective, and that is to boost its traffic and hit rate. No site admin would wanna govern a ghost town.

I would think a 10 email cap is a tad too low in this day and age, even for newbies. This translates to direct user UNfriendliness. If this forum can be friendlier towards newbies, it would be for the better. Then again, this is just my 2 cents worth.

If you have been in CS for long, there are alot of banal talk in kopitiam and not much constructive talk in kopitiam...thus lead to such restriction.
if not, everyone will be upzing, bumping thread up for no reason in kopitiam to increase post counts. Objective of this forum is about photography and forumners can channel their ideas/comments in the respective sub-forums... ..
