Default P. Audax? (Please help ID)

I saw this at the Botanic Gardens, at the bench covered by a low tree near Tanglin gate. I put this photo up on Flickr, and someone says it is a P. Audax.

So I searched Wikipedia (naturally) for it and found an entry on P. Audax. However, the article says it originates from North America.

Is anyone able to ID this spider? I'm not really sure what it is, but it sure looks cool.
