DSLR Photography Course (Basic level)

Ever wondered how to take those stunning images which you often see in the magazines with your digital SLR?

Come and learn Digital Basic Photography with us and we shall lead you to an exciting world of photography. You will learn the fundamentals of photography, the techniques, basic digital software enhancement as well as practical sessions where you practice what you have learnt.

Conducted by Associates and Fellows of The Royal Photographic Society, UK, the lessons are conducted once a week in English language, 2 hours per lesson.

Commencing: 7th August 2007, Tuesday
Time: 7.15pm to 9.15pm
Course Fee: S$200, 9 lessons, once a week, 2 hours per session

Instructor: Edward Cheong and Steven Yee

The basic level teaches you the fundamentals of basic photography such as aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure, when to use certain exposure settings, introduction to the techniques as well as basic image editing with the software. There will be practical session to enable the participants to practice what they have learnt.

This course is suitable for first time DSLR users who wants to learn to take better pictures with their DSLRs as well as current DSLR users who would like to have a refresher course. Many people have found the workflow by the instructor interesting.

DSLR Photography Course (Advance Level)

Someone asked: “Can Creative photography be taught?”

Our Answer is: “One can be conditioned to look at things in a creative way.”

This course shall have its practical sessions conducted over one weekend where the participants are led by the instructor who is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society UK. Various techniques and ways to approach the subject will be discussed during the practical sessions.

Lesson 1: 10th Aug 2007, Friday, 7.15pm to 8.15pm
Lesson 2,3,4: 11th Aug 2007, Saturday, 8.00am to 10.00am, 3.00pm to 8.00pm
Lesson 5: 12th Aug 2007, Sunday, 6.00pm to 8.00pm

Course Fee: S$200, 6 Lessons

Instructor: Steven Yee

The advance level focuses on creative photography where the various photography techniques will be covered. The Art of Seeing is very important, hence, the advance level consists of 4 sessions of outdoor practical practice with the instructor and 2 classroom sessions for briefing and critique.

The prerequisite for this course is knowledge of fundamentals of basic photography.
