Gave up on these eat-all-you-can steamboats a long time ago, it's crowded, it's hot and the food quality - honestly it's s***.

20 bucks get you fantastic fish-head steamboat, and they top up the damn soup free as well!

Hm....now even soup for a steamboat they charge extra....imagine next time we eat nasi lemak must top up $ for chili? Drink teh tarik must pay extra to tarik? Eat prata and extra $ for curry??? So unetical These people really desperate lah....luckily gun is illegal if not she will shoot you if you don't order after asking so much
on paying extra for chilli, remind me of the hokkien mee stall sold in one kopitiam somewhere in Bukit Batok Central; this stall was advertised in the variety programme many years back. Ok, apparently they charge $0.50 for an additional scoop of pounded chilli sauce, which is not even spicy hot ... and the hokkien mee is only soo--soo.. well, i guess to each his own, some CS fellows here would swear by it.

Yeap, that steamboat buffet in Bugis sucks, must pay $10 for the soup, and worst of all, the variety is real limited. Meat variety is also limited, and ultra-thin like paper - some like it, most of my friends don't ...

I work in Kallang area now. Used to visit the old G-A-Y world stadium area (STKDG) as a student.

Kallang stretch is like becoming a mini (Mainland)ChinaTown liao.
Spill over from Geylang. So many spicy steamboat restaurants, with tables all across the five-foot-way, blocking pedestrains' way, forcing them to walk on the roads.

Geylang worse. Noon time already got Mainland Chinese "Chicken rice" - U want thigh meat or breast meat?

I won't go to this "Tian Tian" Steam boat also, after reading these.

the best buffet steamboat IMHO is Chong Qing Ma La steamboat at Liang Seah St. there are 3 of them with the same name along the same row facing Shaw Towers (the one with the Shaw cinemas). Go for the one in the middle with the name F&J cafeteria.

it's $15 nett including free flow lime juice or chestnut drink. shiokness!

Definitely my last time there as they served very slow (on purpose?) and the selection so-so only.
