I'm also having difficulty in posting the a photo.
Tried to resize the photo to keep it within 100k. But seemd like the quality of the photo is greatly affected when I reduce the pixels to 800 x 600.

Can anyone enlighten me how to resize without degrading the photo quality?

try using Picasa to do the resizing. It's easy and gives a very good compression ratio. Many pics that are below 100k in size still give very good results.
