Default CP service - world of contrast

    Any CSers felt it?

CP (Cathay Photo) is one of the best at Peninsular location.

But when I was at Marina Sq, I do not feel very welcome. Was glancing at a file they left on the counter & they gave me this cold stare.

So far went to Marina Sq branch once when I was passing it and saw that they are having a clearance offer for their 645.

Oh well, still hooked on my 35mm so juz went in to 'ask price' only.

Is it sort of a "confidential" file?
If so maybe you should not look at it even if they left it there by mistake?

Well.. Peninsula is more catered to those in the know.. mainly local photogs..

Marina Square branch is a bit more catered to foreigners...

I do agree CP at Peninsular is the better shop there..but there are oso some black sheeps among the staffs at CP Peninsular..and IMO, black sheeps oso exist at the Marina branch..as for browsing the file on the counter, no comments..never come across any files or catalogs for customers browsing..

I thot the file contains nice brochures. Apparently, it must be some price list. Who am i to know? So why the black face from the staff there.

Th file contains the price list of all the cameras, so the file is not meant to be seen by customers. I have the impression that the price in Marina branch is higher.

Even for their Penin branch, the svc attitude has changed dramatically.

Last time, around 7-8yrs back, their attitude was like those typical ah beng shop type.

Now they are machiam very pro, speak properly, greet you nicely, smile, etc.
