Cannot buy IR filter from Alan Photo

hi guys..

i'm not trying to duplicate my post here.. just want to let you all know that Alan Photo quotes out-of-the-universe prices for R72.

yes, dino.. i know u've agreed to lend me yours to try out.. but i couldn't withstand the temptation

wanted to get the filter today, since i was going to get my adapter as well.

i just tot that it would be good if IR enthusiast or ppl like me who wans to pick up IR, don't get slaughtered when they buy their 1st IR filter..

u could delete this thread away if its really so painful.

i could make do by getting another cam from them tomorrow,they give great price for their Fuji F40fd.

Littlepea,

I can feel your frustrations and the reason why you're posting your experience with a certain dealer. It does help for some who intend to buy accessories which shop/s to be weary of.

But as this forum is for IR/UV photography discussion, I would like to keep it that way and not allow it to veer from its purpose.

I will lock this thread. Members will be able to read it but not reply to it thus allowing them to be aware of such experience. This will confine any responses regarding this issue to your other thread.

There's a FILTER PRICE GUIDE STICKY here. The prices and shops listed are guides and they're the more reasonable ones. I suggest that anyone wishing to by IR filters use it as a guide so that they won't be charged exhorbitant prices.
