Re : F717 Replacement?

The price of the F717 has fallen slightly if I'm not wrong (1.7k to 1.5k now).

Will there be a replacement, eg. 727 ?
What new features will there be?

Features I would like to see

1) CCD Noise at ISO800 same as Canon 10D
2) SUPPORT FOR CF (Fat hope eh)
3) BlueTooth
4) Less Sharpening, or option to turn off sharpening
5) More control over levels
6) Larger buffer (for more burst shots)
7) Longer Night Exposures (Bulb mode?)

1) If they can do that then 10D don't need to sell liao. Seriously, I don't think so!
2) Wait long long... The last camera from Sony which could do this was the D770, with PC Card support.
3) Unnecessary expense, IMO.
4) 717 already got sharpening -2, but I can't comment

1) Full TTL flash!
2) Cheaper Memory Sticks! (got some improvement but still got a way to go)
3) Recessed LCD so that it doesn't get noseprints so easily.
4) CZ T* Lens (muahahaha)
5) This is a long shot, but faster AF speed? (the 717's already as fast as they get, but i think they can do better)

I guess that's about all I can ask for ATM... note I also own a 717.

Also, I guess the features on the V1 will be carried over to whatever replaces the 717.

Well, one day digital film technology will reach a point of peak efficiency, where it can be pushed to ISO5000 and beyond with zero pixel noise.

Manufacturing processes will also be improved to a point where pixel sensitivities are all uniform, and no damaged/dead pixels.

And, each pixel will be able to record all 3 primary colours (X3 technology)
