Default IR + "Toy" Sports Photography Article

There's a short but interesting article in the August 2007 Issue of Popular Photography & Imaging Magazine. The writer explains his use of a IR converted Canon 10D with tilt-shift lenses.

The DOF is made very thin, it tricks your eye into thinking everything is very small in scale.

Think macro photography, it has paper thin DOF, now apply the thin DOF to a otherwise infinit focused image, and your brain is tricked into believing that the image its seeing is very small in scale.

You can achieve this in higher quality by using a TS-E lens (it has other advantages as well), or as mentioned by the poster, in photoshop.

Take care,
Adam
