Best camera? For Canon, it's the 1Ds MK II. Nikon is D2Xs or a Leica R9 with digital back. Not sure abt the other lenses cos i use Canon. U can try the 180mm f/3.5L Macro, 16-35mm f/2.8L II, 50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.2L II, 70-200mm f/2.8 IS, 300mm or 400mm f/2.8L.
    Canon EOS 5D, 24-70 f/4 L IS, 50 f/1.2 L, 70-300 f/4-5.6 L IS, 600EX-RT. Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6 EX.

New to digital photography you want to buy very high end dSLR? Pardon me for saying... you might have difficulty using & not get nice photos as pro level dSLR dun even have scene mode.

    Change the mkII to mkIII

Also, all of them have their pros and cons. I recommend you get all three.

Get Olympus DSLR (E-510), the only one with live preview - you get to compose in the LCD screen in addition to the view finder prior shooting:

I assume you are a SLR pro so Canon 1Ds III + EF 600mm or EF 1200mm if you are into sports photography.

Yeah right....And buy only those EF-S lenses, don't buy EF lens. And those lenses with a L at the end are the lousiest.
