Thread: IS vs non-IS

    Question IS vs non-IS

    Hi,

Can someone clarify? What is the equivalent of Canon IS for other brands of lens?

Simply put, can a 3rd party lens like Sigma's have image stabilizing capability?

Sigma calls it OS, Nikon calls it VR. Some other companies incorporate IS-like technology into their camera bodies.

Thanks! It seems like Sigma does not have many OS models.
