I recently got my Intuos A5 wide tablet and found out that the top of the tablet has an abrasion on the plastic. Because its very new and I just bought it, though cosmetic in nature and does not impact any of its functionality, I decided to call up the distributor for the tablets in Singapore and sent a photo of the abrasion to them. Over the phone, they confirmed that some other customers had raised this issue before but he said all the stocks they have have this same abrasion. I was told that Wacom was trying to cut costs, hence the abrasion but I find it quite a ridiculous reasoning. Its like admitting a fault and doing nothing to rectify it.
I don't know if its real, but gave the person the benefit of doubt.
Would like to check with users of the Intuos system, specifically the A5 wide (6" x 11") (Other models also can reply if you have the abrasion issue) if you have the abrasion too.
