    Default LENS Dilemma ~~ for a new bie

    Hi to all pros.....
    i hav a small dilemma rite here. . see if anyone can help me..^^
    i own a d70s , kits lens, 50mm f1.8.

    i hav a 1k now and i wanted to buy additional lens for my trip to italy..
    well the 18-200mm vr nikon is a travel lens..but its too expensive. .
    personally i need a wide angle lens to capture building and also a tele lens.

    thiking of sigma 10-20mm and 55-200mm vr nikon.

    do there any alternatif ? to get all in one? example any converter or what? newbie here^~haha

    Can get a 2nd hand 18-200mm VR from the B&S section for around S$1K.

    Try to sell of your 18-70 kit lens and get the 18-200VR, I'll do it immediately if i were you! You won't want to change lens when you're on the go right? Especially if the tour is a guided tour and not those OTOT ones.
    Dun blame the camera...blame the one behind the viewfinder :bsmilie:

    SELL THE KIT LENS AR. SCARE I WILL BE NEED THAT IN THE FUTURE..WILL I?

    18 is wide enough... if you want wider walk backward a little or better get a FE

    wont regret taking which? sigma tamron ? or nikon.? hehe. fish eye converter or just fish eye lens? grrrrrr if i hav a gurus to teach me all this stuff

    No regrets choosing the Nikon.
    Fish Eye lens.

    hey hey what's wrong with the present set up!?
    the kit lens has a decent range.
    & the 50 is a fast short tele!

    what can you miss with your present configuration?
    a speedlight maybe?

    The 18-200mm lens will overlap your 18-70mm. It totally replaces the range already, why would you want to still use your kit lens after getting a 18-200mm? 2nd body? Sentimental value?

    sell your kit lens, add that to your 1k, i think you can get a new 18-200VR

    ya. mayb sentimental value.. got feeling to her...
    btw so hard to sell a kit lens here la

    hmm.... mayb i will get a 18-200 vr first, than a 10-20sigma, than macro ( new to macro )...than go on to 2.8 17-50 lens mayb... this dono i hav to struggle and find money. haiz
