i was considering ip4300 untill i saw ip5200. both selling at the same price at HN which is 179. I brought ip5200 for the fact that it prints faster, has the same or better resolution, more print nozzles, and everything that come with ip4300.

ip 5200 is an older but higher model. just use it to print 90 booklets of 10pp a4 sheets and ever so amaze by just how fast, and reliable it is.

go check it out!

I bot the same. HN salesman told me to claim 'free' gift from Canon; Canon said no gift for this model, only for ip4200. Anyway, u know where is cheapest place to buy ink? Or where to fill up ink onto empty cartridges?

I've checked out the specs for ip5200 and ip4300.

Both have the same nozzles, ink droplet size and printing speed.

Anyway, I juz bought a ip4300 at SLS for $168. Good enough for my needs.

For ink, I only stay with the original. Bad experiences with 3rd party ink cartidges before.

try one of the shop @ SLS, level 6... got colored ink at $18, $1.90 cheaper than retail price in most places and black one at $21 instead of $23.90 retail price (iirc)

i bot mine inks from inforcom in funan at 18.90. I did however have a 1gb sd card from HN. As for ink cartridges, i will pehaps use calidad, hopefully it will work fine. I find that original inks for 8 series is very expensive. Compare to my 6 series inks which i brought at 12.9 each for i9950.

8 series's suck...
still got half ink remaining, can't print cos of the cartridge lamp r off,
pull it out then install it back can print again, then after d printer i sleep mode, it'll off again, then have to pull it out n in again...
some can't print at all, lamp's off forever n my ink got half in it....(3 cartridge already)

i think d chip is broken...

y 8 series is ex than 6's cos of dat extra chip on it...

i agree, the chip is a pain in the A**. I still like the 6 series. Refills also no problems. and price now is so much cheaper.
