Default Saudi Arabia

I always thought street photography in S'pore is tough. With people always staring you down and asking "you take what photo?", especially when you're in the heartlands. In Saudi Arabia, I had to learn quickly how to get the shot I want, accurately, quickly and discreetly. Not all places are like that though. Medina and Jeddah were all right. But Mecca was a bit hairy. I've heard of people having their cameras seized and smashed on the spot. I got questioned by a cop, and stopped by some random passer-by and on occasion, some others said out loudly (in Arabic) what I was doing was "sinful". But by and large, I got my shots without incident. Really happy with the Canon G7 in this respect. So, here are some of the pics...

The rest of the series here.

There's nothing really special inside really. Just a room with some supporting columns in it. Generally, people are not allowed in. Probably for practical reasons also. Could cause a dangerous crowd-crush.
