Hi Guys,
Anyone used the EF-S- 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM for IR? Is it a bad lens or good for IR? Im planning to buy an R72 filter and would like to know if this lens is good for IR photography. R72 on a 77mm diameter lens is a bit expensive (its 240SGD at Cathay). So before i buy, i would to know who tested this lens or IR. Thanks, Ally |

Hi,
Already bought the R72mm (220SGD at APS) and tested with Canon EF-S 17-55mm IS . See results. I would say the Canon EF-S 17-55mm IS is a good lens for IR (no hot spots). Thanks for teerex, Max 2.8, PandaOng and photoexpress for replying my PM. #1 ![]() #2 ![]() #3 ![]() #4 Using R72 on EF 50 F1.8 II ![]() |
