Default Lower Seletar

Hey guys here's 2 pics from lower seletar. I monochromed the 1st picture and cropped out the 2nd from the 1st. Hope to hear some constructive comments so I can improve! Thanks!

The first pic might look better if it is in color. After all, i assume this was taken during sunset.

sunset/rise can work in black and white, (my example and compare it to the colour version) but you have to work doubly hard, as you are throwing away one big element, the colours. And the thing that work in B&W are textures and tones. So ask yourself if there are sufficient tones and textures in it to work. Not every pic can worka s black and white. And even if there are tones and textures you must know how to squeeze all these out - and since I suppose it is a digital image - with something like PS.

The colour one looks better I think Both are excellent. Do you mind teaching me how you PP both ur pics? Thx!
