Any News on the New Nikon Camera

Is there any news on the new Nikon Camera? Would like to know and see if it is worth my while to save up for it or go on a long trip.

I would probably think going on a long trip is more worth it. Heh. With all the latest gadgets but no place to go and utilise them.. wouldn't that be a waste then?

Furthermore, there is no real firm timelime for the release of the new body. Nor any confirmed features.

So far there is a lot of talk about 1.1 crop on the sensor. Hope it is true.

Heard due to copyright held by Canon for the full frame sensor, Nikon has to use 1.1 crop factor sensor?!

If nikon uses a CCD sensor FF there shouldnt be copywrite issues due to it being different technology essentially, or at least i think so?

Why would there be a copyright on the size of a sensor? This is silly. Anyway, Canon use CMOS sensors and Nikon uses CCDs.

You are right - I stand corrected. Nevertheless, one should not be able to copyright the size of a sensor.

It would be like having a copyright on 35mm film size
