    Default Vari-angle LCD PnS cameras

I am looking for a PnS camera with Vari-angle LCD, what other
brands have this feature besides the ones from Canon.
The cameras must have at least 7mega pixels.

Still searching for more models other than the ones from Canon.
Canon have foresight of making more PnS especially in their
    A series.

The Kodak EasyShare One with a 4 MP is in the ultra compact range but the cam is over priced. The current Pentax Optio 750Z with a
7.1 MP seems to have poorer performance when compared to the
ones from Canon A or G series.

Nikon seems to have given up producing vari-angle LCD PnS cam and
the current S10 isn't a hot favorite among vari-angle LCD users.

Personally I prefer the Kodak EasyShare One because of it ultra
compact size but Kodak announced their stand in not producing
any more of their compact range of cameras.

I am hoping Sony, Fuji or Panasonic will jump on the bandwagon
to design something better than those from Canon. For example
PnS with wide angle zoom range wider than 35mm (like 28 - 105)
with low noise level at higher ISO.

from what I recall, the side hinged vari-angle LCD is some Canon patent.. anyone can verify?

That's what I read from somewhere. That's why Pana FZ-50 uses a lower hinged LCD instead of a more versatile side-hinged.

You can also consider the Olympus C7070 (big brother of the C5060).
Not sure whether it is still sold new, though.
The flip is not to the side (ala Canon) but from bottom to top, and twist (so you can do a self-portrait).
