Dragonflies

I went to Macritchie again today and made these photos in the sweltering heat. It was really hot and I was perspiring like mad, but at least there was lots of sunlight.

Yup, using the sigma 70-300mm. It's a bit soft though, as expected, but that's okay.

The sigma 70-300mm is a good set of lens, try shooting at f/7.1 or f/8, i find that these are the sharpest aperture settings on the lens, under good sunlight it shouldn't be a problem. Nice shots, like the mating dragonfly pic most, could have used a flash to fill the dark areas. The colours of the 2nd pic looks vivid, might wanna try a frontal shot if possible next time Nice takes
