They're in the right mood and you managed to capture it. but personaly i think, they're in the wrong outfit for that kind of mood. Just my opinion lah...

Well it was done immediately after their ROM. They have no intention to shoot in the first place. I was the culprit .

However, as what u say, it is a matter of opinion. I personally felt that their clothes was a great contrast to the environment and it was a unique match which somehow break the tradition of white or black or Western style in that kind of British Colonial environment. Uniquely, the clothes also brought out the vibrancy and mood of the couple.

What i meant was that you have to understand the outfit they're wearing. Its more of a respected traditional malay outfit and by wearing that kind of clothes, certain pose or mood may be controversial to certain people. Maybe not to them but to the people who will see it later like yheir aunties and relatives especialy the elderly. Especialy the poses of no. 2, 3 and 4 personaly I found not appropriate for that outfit. Well just my opinion again lah...

maybe u can consider getting a long lens to shoot fotos such as no.8 for better bokeh.
otherwise, the fotos are quite normal, nothing exciting with the angles or framing...

No long lens, use PP to create it. Or at least darken out the background to gain attention to your subjects. I am not a wedding photog though. Just how I feel.

i felt that the traditional gowns that they are wearing dun really fit the colonial houses.. i think the trees or the grees would be intresting..

if the couple likes it, it doesn't matter about the dress or the building background. the rest is up to you. At times to break from tradition MIGHT be good, as long as its not too sudden or provocative. jus 2peso opinion.

Since it was not a planned shoot, I was more interested in bringing out the mood of the couple. It is the "feel" that I am interested in. My favourite in this series is actually no 4.

hi,
nice series and i personally like no.7 and no.5. it shows how loving the couple is but i have to strongly agree with Rolzink's opinion. the kissing pose somehow does not suit/refelct the malay costume traditionally nor culturally eventho they are husband and wife, the close proximity between couples shouldnt be portrayed too openly with traditional outfit. it's just a 'malay' reflex from me bro. keep shooting!

Pic 2 and 3 removed. Pic 4 stays cause I feel that this photo brought out the loving relationship of the couple.
