Hi hi
I am new here Have just purchased HP C5180 printer, I am using A4 size photo paper to print borderless 8x10in photos, however the left side of the image got cropped off, and I noticed that there is still some space left on the right side of the paper, is it because the image is not centralised? I have explore and trial and error with the printer setting, be it using the HP photosmart or Photoshop CS to print, but still not able to solve the problem Have already waste so many papers and inks Any kind souls can help me with this? TIA ![]() Last edited by Fennie; 13th June 2007 at 08:33 AM. |

Some sort of driver bug? Try the latest downloadable version?
You might want to contact their customer support too. |

I think u really have to call HP support... it appears that 1) some setting is off, but if u didn't touch anything then 2) there is some flaw in the paper detection mechanism in the printer or 3) the print head is misaligned. Have u printed borderless photos for other sizes like 4R? U might want to try test printing using economy mode on plain paper just to check out the alignment thing (don't have to use photo paper). Also try printing different orientations (landscape & portrait) and see if the image shift on the paper is always in the same direction (may indicate an inherent hardware flaw). Do so for A4R, A4 or even A5 (just cut A4 paper into 2). |
