That's exactly what I usually do. I need to clarify it though.
I would take as many as I can but I would also change the aperture, speed, etc. for each shot to see which setting would be best.
Thanks catchlights and zoossh for correcting me.

3 - Without creativity, no story
4 - Without creativity, you can wait long long for the moment.
5 - Without creativity, you will always go for the obvious.
9 - Without creativity, all your shots are probably going to be eye level, with little interest
10 - Without creativity, you will shoot with any background with any depth of field the camera provides you.

All points discussed are valid but IMHO, the most important is: http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005450454,00.html

Yes, here are some that i find useful for me.

    - Familiarise with equipment (get one you grow into, not what you need now) with more practice or guide (e.g. bythom.com for Nikon), once you get it avoid worrying too much about equipment (e.g. stop surfing kenrockwell.com)
    - Subscribe to photography magazine (e.g. digital camera world) through cheaper online alternative (e.g. zinio.com) or just look for other possible downloads (e.g. bit torr***)
    - Attend a workshop outside your photographic style (e.g. objectifs.com.sg) to learn outside your comfort zone, most times it's adaptable.
    - Review critique to understand how the to disect a photograph (e.g. radiantvista.com) or other available options.
    - Take things up a gear by challenging yourself is thematic competition (e.g. dpchallenge.com) or just bookmark your favourite online galleries.
    - Look at more pictures and attempt to comprehend the making of such a picture (e.g. LKC library huge collection of good books) then make sure you should be able to replicate or keep these shots in mind, just so you know the technique involved.
    - Read photography guidebooks especially ones on compositional (e.g. freeman patterson) or ones that are small enough for you to take on travel (e.g. lonely planet photography series).
    - Visit a photoblog for more inspiration (e.g. coolphotoblogs.com) or better still create one.
    - Learn post processing (e.g. lynda.com or any books by McClelland or Kelby) and do what you can but still correct the problem behind the viewfinder.
    - Finally, learn as much but adapt only what you're comfortable with.

Some of these sites are recommendation from a few favourite photographers, and being a learner myself i find these useful. Hope it helps if you have no idea where to start.

u will need an external flash (with a flash head that can tilt) mounted on ur prosumer camera (i.e. ur prosumer camera must have a flash shoe). the built-in flash of your camera cannot do flash bounce.
