meteor garden, both jap & taiwan goes down the dustbin for me, esp the lead actor doumyouji (i think), taiwanese 1 pattern... jap 1 look like a frog... too much over acting...

    Iryu (Team Medical Dragon) -
    Kurosagi also not bad.

There's Proposal Daisakusen which is currently airing in Japan as well. Heard good things about it.

They had a volleyball serial starring Ueto Aya called Attack No.1 in 2005. It's supposed to be based on a long-running manga and anime series. It's not bad, but what I like about is the retro-style theme song. Remade of the 70s(or 80s) song and has a chessy line halfway through the song.

(Search youtube and you will probably find it)

The one playing tennis? Hmm.... Ace wo Nerae? That shld be one of the earlier sports anime series that spun off a live action drama with Ueto Aya recently (not really recently actually, 2004 or so).

As for the volleyball one, I can't recall much abt it but the best moment I recalled was the lady always like to do a headstand (and all because of her, I learnt to do headstands).

And there's another drama which I vaguely recalled a sad story, the girl got hole in the heart one.

And finally there's this particular police drama I'd always tuned in to watch. Not Kindaichi. I remembered the detective is a middle aged actor.
