Default Vintage Tripod

Hi Guys,

Just got a 'permanent loan' GITZO Reporter Performance Gilux legs + Manfrotto Bogen 3047 3 way pan tilt head.. it is really old skool!! not to mention.. a good workout carrying it around.. i don't think i see it in the GITZO catalogue anymore, can anyone point me in the right direction bout learning about it as all i got was the above mentioned..

anyone can help me out as to how i can change the ball head (coz this one weighs a tonne!) coz i dun really see how i can do that..

also, any ballheads to recommend?

currently using a 400D + Tokina 24-200mm + 550EX..

THANKS!!

i was also asking bout changing the head coz i didn't get anything at all besides the tripod and the attached 3 way pan.. i've stated my heaviest set up in the first post, after a bit of searching.. it should amount to about 1.8kg..
