Hi,
I had given three of my lenses, body and flash to Canon Singapore. I got fungus on them after a trip to a forest area. I stay in India and sent through my cousin. I had quite a few questions on the lens treatment and preventing fungus. I would have sent mails over a few weeks. I was corresponding with a person called Mr. Nicholas Tan. He was very prompt, helpful and answered my queries. I recently developed the photos that I took with my camera and they came out real well. Just wanted to say thanks to him and to help anyone else who might want to get their cameras serviced |

I would also like to thank the Canon Service Centre. I sent a printer (CP720) for calibration and they told me I think 5-7 days (not sure). But within 3 days (should be) , they called and told us the printer is ready for collection. What I like is that it was ready even before the time they stated. Great service.

Agree.. I had sent both my Canon 350D and NikonD80. Canon Service centre is better than Nikon. Trust me! They are very patient in answering and listening to your problems. Plus you can get free coffee too or even they will loan their camera to you. Bravo CANON... Keep up your performance |

There are good times & bad times too.
Overall my experience with CSC is very good. There are people who switched camp from Nikon to Canon due to the service centre ![]() |

It is sad that all too often, we only hear complaints, grumbles and even sometimes you get curses about bad service and its so refreshing to hear some compliments. I note that these compliments though originated from India.
Well done Canon Service Centre! I would also like to express my appreciation for the wonderful service they have given me in the past (although I hope not to see them too often in the future!). It has always been, service with many smiles (not just one!). |

I like my Nikon better. After all, so far, my Nikon DSLR is still doing fine and the quality is good. Also, the Nikon service centre is near my office now. The last time I visited the service centre was to send my lenses for cleaning a few weeks back after a dusty trip overseas. I have no problem with the services there.
Perhaps different people got different preference on service level |

There is this constant battle for the services provided by these two service centers.
I guess what truth-photograher said was right, different ppl have different level of preference, satisfaction and expectation. eg like free drinks (coffee) or loaner sets. sometimes the user themselves is the problem instead of the camera.i have frenz who uses canon and complaint about the service there. but at the end of the day, i think the most realistic thing is more on the performance of the camera itself. some things are just superficial. ![]() |

Customer service goes a long way. You gotta think long-term. There ought to be problems in the near future. When you buy a camera, you are not only buying the camera itself, you are also buying the service. ![]()
