I wondering who actually uses Metz on 5D and hows the performance between Metz and 580EXII? In fact I had no idea which Metz works great on 5D, so I wanted to find out more about it.

Spoke to a fellow photographer who was using this combination during my company's DND. Photos were nice exposed utilising metz's own "A" mode with the camera on "Manual" |

I met a Filipino photographer who owns both, and he says he prefers his Metz 54 to 580EX (mkI).

Already in other forums ... people are complaining that the controls are a b*tch ... just to set something or to get something done, you need to go through a whole load of menus. Its not as intuitive as the 580 or the 54MZ4 I'm still wondering why they removed the jog dial. I love the 54MZ4's skin colour cast. Very natural. But then again, all metz flashes (as i was told) has a learning curve. |
