this is what happened. i ordered a Seagull Angle Finder, 1x magnification from them.
they sent me a brand call Fusen, 1x & 2x magnification. i requested for refund, they never reply. My request is simple, their website show Seagull brand, i ordered and paid for Seagull brand. Why sent me something else? That is DISHONEST!! I have attached my email with them for everyone to judge. Hi Ang, we will offer you a refund in that case. We currently do not have the "Seagull" brand in stock as our suppliers sent us this packaged brand in the last shipment. I HAVE ENOUHG OF THIS CRAP. YOUR WEBSITE ALREADY HIGHLIGHT THE DISADVANTAGE OF 2X MAGNIFICATION. JUST TELL ME WHEN YOU COME AND GET BACK YOUR ANGLE FINDER, AND RETURN MY MONEY BACK!!!! a little diversion from the issue here,
but the 1 and 2x angle finder do cost more than the 1x seagull. only brand difference. after playing around the angle finders from seagull 1x and 1-2X. makes really no diference but the 2x magnification helps a lot. both quite rough in design but it does works. I didnt get mine from PPCP though. |

I've dealt with PPCP and Nathaniel before. From my few orders, only one order was screwed up (sent the wrong part), but they resolved it within a reasonable amount of time.
I think the TS should settle this problem with PPCP outside this forum. |

I've purchased a few items from PPCP. ALL orders were in excellent condition and branded the same as mentioned on the website. i think it's the supplier's fault.

lets us put ourself in his shoe, can we accept it,if we ordered a Minolta camera and instead got konica camera although they are from the same company? I guess not all of us will do ... acc2000, ... hope you can settle the issue with thedealer ina amicable way. cheers! |

Whilst I had good service from PPCP so far, I don't see why the TS cannnot start a thread to highlight this problem. It is the same as all the complaint letters you see in the Forum section of Straits Times.

Though I have not deal with PPCP before(nearly but their item out of stock), but being an online retailer without a store front, transparentcy and effective communication is very important because that's the only way your customer can reach you.
Customer is always right and IMO acc2000 does has a case since what he sees is not what he gets, the seller should check the goods before sending out to avoid this kind of dispute, not only that, the buyer will loose the opportunity cost because of the "ding donging". PPCP is not new here and I think Parker will have a hardtime to be the peacemaker again Whatever it is I think the damage is already done, hope both of them can settle in amicable way to restore the customer confident ![]() |

PPCP should do a immediate refund without questions ask as the product they sent is wrong. No need to urgue at all.

Also, calling them 'DISHONEST' base on this issue is a bit too much, IMHO. They are not out to cheat. From my understanding, they gave a more expensive product in place of the ordered item. They might be guilty of not informing the TS first and poor communication, but definately not dishonest practice. I understand the TS is a bit upset, hopefully this issue can be resolve to everyone's satisfaction very soon. The above are my views, so please don't flame me if you don't agree. We'll just agree to disagree ![]() |

I cannot believe it... how can ppcp take it for granted that the customer will accept the product since its more expensive?
They should do an immediate refund. No need to argue till face turned blue. They are obviously in the wrong. Well they can take their time to resolve the issue, the longer they drag the more damage in reputation they have to suffer. As for me I do not think I'll ever want to deal with them. ![]() |

In a restaurant if someone orders a lamb chop, and they serve him pork chop, I seriously doubt that's acceptable.

Hi guys,
was told of this thread by a fellow clubsnapper (thank you!) and here's the lowdown from PPCP's side. 1. The finder - The variable finder was sent as stocks that arrived from the supplier were that. The 1x-2x variable finder was tested by PPCP Staff and deemed better than the seagull 1x so the batch of stock was accepted. We did not accept the fixed 2x finders that were sent along with the stock. These cost a little more and the margin on the finders are very low - basically carrying and selling them (angle finders) to provide photographers who need the angle finding tool in their photography. 2. Three replies were sent to Mr Ang, our customer with regard to the angle finder. (1) That the product sent was not an inferior or cheaper product, to which our customer replied that he wished to have a refund. (2) An email was sent to him to confirm that we would refund his purchase as it was not the product that he had ordered. (3) Another email was sent out informing him that we at PPCP Online would contact our supplier for the Seagull 1x finder and if our customer would like us to get the seagull finder for him and have his Fusan unit replaced. 3. PPCP Online has not received the Fusan angle finder and has not refunded our customer, Mr Ang's money and an email was sent out to inform him about it. This is still open and we are awaiting for his reply.
