I don't think FD lenses can be used on EOS mounts, so unless you have some old film camera that you plan to use with the lens, I don't think it's such a good idea to get that lens.
That said, I'm lusting after fast primes like these, can't go wrong with a 85mm f/1.2L!!

Obviously it can't be used on an EF mount (EF mount, not EOS mount), because it's a FD lens. However, it can be used with a FD-EOS adapter, which is available, though not common. Most people however, prefer to use Ai/Ai-S Nikkors on their EF mount with adapter, as the results are usually better (sharper, more contrasty, better colour reproduction).

It's a different focal length from 85mm. It's not as fast as the 85mm. In either case, you'll also need an adapter to mount it on any EOS SLR.

I think XC Pictorial would know more about manual Nikkors. After all, he's one of the authorities on Ai/Ai-S Nikkors (:

The Nikon-EF adaptor does not degrade optical quality unlike the FD-EF adaptor. Thus it is better to use Ai/Ais lenses instead of FD lenses.

The 105 f2.5 is more than good.

You might want to consider 85/1.8 as at about $500 second hand, it is not that much more compared to buying a manual 105 f2.5 plus adaptor. The aperture is bigger, the lens is sharp, it has Ring USM, and it focus even faster than the 85 f1.2.
