I think parliament shld legislate the following for corruption law:

    - Seize passports and enter the names of the person AND his entire family lineage in the ICA blacklist the moment the person is charged with corruption

    Upon conviction:
    - All assets of the person concerned, his family AND his relatives in line shall be seized and confiscated.
    - The person convicted of corruption shld be shot (or beheaded) within 72hrs of conviction without being allowed to see anyone at all.
    - His family and his relatives shall be banished from the country within 72hrs and not allowed to return at all for eternity.

Any attempts by the family or relatives to escape banishment or enter the country secretly would result in the entire family lineage being massacred.

Now, how does this sound? Too soft?

Great idea. Implement it now and slash 80% off cabinet salaries. Since these people insist they'll become corrupt if they don't get millions of dollars.

Well, it may be extremely dumb to implement such a rule in modern society where talks of human rights, democracy rule (as compared to the ancient times where a single ruler, wise or not, commanded the life & death of millions of his subjects).

But still with all these talk of 'rights', 'democracy' I look around and somehow feel that the society now is so much chaotic than in the past where infractions would get a heavy jail sentence or execution. A simple "right" or a simple "wrong" (in the eyes of the state).

Put simply, there is so much grey area these days that I'm thinking where's the definite shade.

I believe they have this rule in DPRK.

Though I'm not very supportive of the way of life in DPRK, the strong iron fist which Kim Jong Il make everyone fall in line and literally obey with the state ideology somehow earned my respect towards this strange paradox.

I'd just love to get an interview with The Man himself. Or at the very least, visit DPRK to feel the way of life and the ppl there.

Do you mean move on to pay for our dear Mr Durai two months holiday.
Or do you mean move on to another country?

    Richard has left only $247
I don't how much money Durai has left after his holidays. Maybe $150 or less.
Or maybe his holiday expanses paid by NKF.

    Today's ST has the story.
Our good friend did it the old fashioned way. He drove to JB and then to KL and then probably flew off to Timbuktu, hours before they declared him a bankrupt.
Good timing? The conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day.

At the end of it all, he's just another thief who got away..
(however methinks if he were a murderer, then he wouldn't have made it off the island/peninsular..)

The big fish has slipped through the nets.. Time to patch the holes...

    C'est la vie, mon cheri..
