8 vs 6 mp ISO 1600 vs ISO 800 horseshoe for flash vs no horseshoe better lcd resolution, 207k vs 115k bigger lcd, 2.5" vs 2" heavier, 550g vs 510g support for SDHC and lastly the gimmickly, face detection. |

Where is it sold? Canon is slow to come up with features.. Nothing exciting but surprising they have the hotshoe. Won't it kill the G7? Anyway, I think G7 is quite a beaten camera now. Can't match up with its predecessors.

The addition of the hotshoe is a killer feature. Makes the S5IS even more versatile.

$799 was also the list price for S3 IS but the street price was about $50 cheaper.

The camera is still not available in any shop yet. But Canon Singapore told me it will be available in the shops in 2 weeks' time and most probably by next week.
