Default Alert: Lost Dopod 838 Pro @ Robinsons Centrepoint

    Hi all,

Posting on behalf of a friend.

My friend lost a Dopod 838 Pro at the Ladies' fitting room @ Robinsons Centrepoint today (3rd level, just beside the Country Road corner) . It's extremely new, bought from Singtel about 2-3 weeks ago.

Apparently, she left her Dopod in the fitting room, and when she realised it 5 mins later, it was gone. Time of theft is approximately 17:19hrs (judging from the timing of her receipts for her purchases).

She attempted to call back the phone after 5 mins, but it was locked. The set is presumably now password locked.

It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could keep a lookout for the following:

    1) Dopod 838 Pro

    IMEI: 355714010502455
    S/N: HT715F204542
Applied with Martin Fields screen protector

    2) Piel Frama Red Leather Case

The owner is willing to provide a token reward of $150 for anyone who has any info that would help in the recovery of the device.

Anything, please email me at tasdevil55 (at) hotmail.com (preferred).

    Thanks all!

sorry to hear of the lost... will keep a lookout in 2nd hand markets... remember to check with police for recovered handphone IMEI numbers because sometimes people find and give it to police one.

The chances of recovery is pretty much zero for mobile phones. Best advise is to buy a new phone and move on. Sad but true

She did, but I understand that this can be done by a hard reset.

Yes, the chances of recovering the set is extremely slim, but we're just giving it a shot. She's already contemplating to get another set again..
