this item will have a v.slow transfer speed. given that it is 'full speed' (aka usb1.1 standard)

Quote:
via wikipedia..

A Full Speed rate of up to 12 Mbit/s (1.5 MB/s).

A Hi-Speed rate of up to 480 Mbit/s (60 MB/s).
which casing did you get?
