Eneloop comes in 2100 mAh only.
Powerex retains power pretty ok, but no way as good as Eneloops. So if you charge your batteries regularly, go for Powerones. If you don't, go for Eneloops. There's nothing worse than bringing out batteries happily thinking that you have backup power and end up with flat stuff because of self-discharge. |

I am considering getting the Eneloop this time round because I am getting sick of loosing power on my trip despite fully charged those so call 2700, 2500 or whatever they claimed battery

Sanyo Eneloop is 2000mAh only.
There is GP battery similar to Sanyo Eneloop, which is 2050mAh. Regards, Arto. |

I got a set of GPs with charger rated 2300mAh when i got my A710 IS. Dunno if these will discharge quickly if not used for a few days after charging cos i'm leaving for Korea this sunday and planning to use them for spares.

PowerEx 2700 are Good and so is Energizer. Camelion are cheap (2600) but cannot really retain charge longer than 2 weeks. Tthe PowerExs and Energizers can last 1 month in my cam... Yahoo... |

Keep them. Next PC/IT show when East Geat has a promo can use them to trade in for the PowerEx Batteries. I got my PowerExs from the Dec 2006 Show where I traded my old GP 1300MHa Batteries for a Pack of 4 + Charger for $39 (Trade-in Price) instead of $49 (Selling Price). Cheers... |

My advise is to use your rechargable batts first. Then use those non rechargable as backup. Simple reason is that the latter is easy to replace unless you are in the middle of nowhere. Rechargable will slowly discharge itself...so might as well use them up first.
