Default Loreo lens + Horizon Kompakt at Kranji...

heh... finally had a chance to bring my Loreo lens-in-a-cap out to play. i got this from perly recently.

just 2 pics from this morning's short trip to kranji war memorial. rest of the pics are still in their canisters. hope to bring it out to miao laan for developing and scanning later.

just did a little leveling in PS, plus the usual resizing. other than dat, the pics are straight fm cam.

#1 - tombstones

#2 - WW2 monument

just collect my kompakt scanned rolls from miao laan. some pics taken at the war memorial with the kompakt.

#1 - the gate. taken with fuji reala, converted to BnW in PSE5

#2 - pano of Kranji War Memorial. i used CS3's photomerge action to stitch 3 pics together. sorry for the exposure differences. the extreme left pic was shot facing the rising sun, hence the very bad flare.

#3 - a misc pic taken at my in-laws place. provia 100 x-pro.

the horizon kompkat is a very cool camera! takes a while for me to figure out how to reload. but, as the lomo site said, it's dead-easy to use. however, for some reason, this cam doesn't come with a tripod screw mount. hence, shooting #2 was a pain. i've resorted to gluing a tripod QR plate to the base of the kompakt.

on a s5pro. the perspective-control (PC) lens, i've tried b4. yeah. the effects are not dat obvious on a crop-sensor DSLR.... either dat, or i dunno how to use the lens properly. the lens-in-a-cap is much better, IMO.

still, for under $40, u bet u can't find a PC lens dat cheap!
