I did before.. twice acutally.

Its an event coverage, but you might wanna focus more on the people who attended it rather than the 'happenings'
Do a couple of interviews, focus the theme on how that person touched everyone life and made a difference in whatever way when he/she was around.

Our job is to add life and meaning for the people who will watch this DVD years to come.
I guess 10 years down the road, when you pick up the DVD and watch it - you wouldnt want to watch a sad sad depressing lifeless video.

Hi,

Shooting a funeral maybe a 1-3 days affair. Example, you have to videoshoot the wake throughout during the prayers session & depending on the religion, may be very tedious work. For Buddhist or Taoist, there are more funeral rites by the monks or priests followed by the deceased temple group chantings. On the day of the funeral, the morning shoot can be a long drawn affair followed by the funeral procession up to the graveyard or the columbarium. Then the journey back to the home follow by lunch and some prayer session, etc. The final dvd is usually in 2 parts x 3 sets. Additional sets at $30-$50 each. Recommended to have an asst-videographer because you can't cover everything. For $450 for the whole process? Good Luck!

Best regards,

Hi,

Had chanced upon a funeral video b4. and I enjoyed it. (if 'enjoyed' is the right word to be used.) The videographer/editor (or whatever u call them) had protrayed the late Mr XXX in a very personal and 'humane' light, juxtaposing it with the friends/relatives' emotions without being intrusive on their grieving. Liked the sensitivity they had exercised/protrayed in that video (would have teared but -shy)

If you're keen, I can give you their email add.
