I'm not sure what is the price range for a 4GB CF card but I've bought 3 x Kingston 2GB CF (Normal no-frills one rated at 40x) @ $30.70 each from Best Bargain which comes up to $92.10.

Why didn't I get the faster speed cards you may ask. I've done some comparison and found that this "speed" thing sounds good in theory but in reality, it doesn't really have any tangible benefits. Even if I were to fire off in quick succession, I still haven't got caught in a scenario when there camera buffer is full.

Unless you are shooting sports or car / motorcycle race where u need to fire off a few frames per second in succession, then the high speed card will come in handy. Otherwise, a normal card will do as you will never be able to fill up the camera buffer even if u continue shooting shots after shots. The buffer will transfer faster than each time u press the shutter. When uploading your images to the PC, here is where the high speed card's advantage comes into play. The uploading will be much faster than a normal card.

Hi, I think i agree with Caesium, i have some relatively fast 1gb cards, but i need slower, larger low cost cards. Maybe i will go SLS to get it like what Caesium recommended. Extreme 4 sounds a bit expensive? But will consider it next time round. Thanks everyone.

don't know about other brands but for Sandisk they are not an official retailer so if card goes kaput, good luck on getting Best Bargain to do a replacement...
